Although our service is quite young, our team has been developing taxi software for more than 20 years. Time went by, taxi industry was changing, and our program was changing together with it. This went on for almost 15 years. During these years, the initially small program,ё acquired huge functionality and a team of programmers, and turned into a real monster with an embedded call centre, mobile applications, powerful accounting functions and plenty of other functions that are now rusty even for us. But, from year to year, it was becoming increasingly difficult to introduce new functions and support the product. That's because in the same year, no one could imagine how much taxi industry would change, and that the basis laid at that time was already insufficient. Therefore, we decided to start development of a new taxi software in 2013. For almost 5 months we were compiling a document with main requirements to the program in close consultation with our customers. However, even before we started drafting this document, we had firmly decided that the software must be cloud-based, cross-platform and affordable even for the smallest taxi services
While developing such a service in the days, when services like UBER and Yandex Taxi started changing the taxi industry, thus driving conventional taxis from the market, we understood that we must create a worthy alternative to them. We aimed at enabling everyone to create their own UBER or start cooperating with other taxi services and create their own alternative to Yandex. And now, almost 2 years later, we created the LigaTaxi service. Much has been done, but even more still has to happen. Join us and we will start writing the new story in the taxi industry together.
